Bamboo Cay Ocean Blue Hole is located one-quarter mile north of the Bullock's Harbour Government Complex. It is 60 feet in diameter (the depth is unknown), and it is said that the great Jacques Cousteau himself dove into this blue hole. A magnificent sight to behold. It starts out as a shallow bank then immediately descends, giving the water a dark blue color that signifies it is very deep.
It is safe to swim and snorkel in the shallow areas, but diving in the blue hole is recommended for expert divers only.
