These two marine parks totally 5,000 acres of lush coral, were established in 2002 to help preserve and replenish the valuable ecosystem of the Central Andros Barrier Reef. It is the third longest fringing barrier reef in the world, spanning some one hundred and forty miles off the east coast of Andros on the top of a cliff that plunges 6,000 ft into the tongue of the ocean.

This is a great opportunity to explore and discover a large variety of tropical marine life by snorkeling or diving. Access is by boat and the assistance of a tour guide is required.

The parks can only be accessed by boat, which is a short ride (about a mile offshore). This may not be suitable for persons with mobility impairments or in wheelchairs.

Leashed pets are allowed, if they are controlled. Care should be taken when on the water.
