The Bridge Inn provides a secluded, warm and friendly atmosphere, and is a perfect setting for a nature-lovers vacation.

The family-owned and operated property is named for a small bridge that spans the nearby bonefish flats, and has been a local fixture for many years. The warm hospitality begins when each guests are welcomed with free transportation to and from the New Bight Airport.

Visitors can get the best in local and international cuisine and beverages at the restaurant and bar on site; it is also the perfect site for an island wedding. Arrangements can be made for bone-fishing with a local guide; deep-drop fishing for red snapper, black snapper and Nassau grouper; trawling, or sports fishing, for blue marlin, Wahoo and mahi mahi; scuba diving with one of the local dive operators; tours to nearby attractions like the Hermitage, the bat caves and the Col. Andrew Deveaux Plantation; and an escort for nighttime crabbing, where you can catch land crabs, a staple of the local diet. Anyone that wishes to explore independently, rental cars are available on premises and bicycles are free to guests.

For those seeking more quiet pursuits, there is a secluded mile-long beach, just a short walk away, with a shallow lagoon perfect for sunbathing, swimming or snoozing, with great reefs for snorkeling right off the beach. (Snorkeling gear is not provided.) The pathway to the beach is overhung by a canopy of Casuarinas, providing a perfect “nature trail” for your daily walks.

Inn Style

We provide a secluded, warm and friendly atmosphere, and the perfect setting for a nature-lover’s vacation. There are 12 regular rooms in the original low-rise building, each with one queen bed, one twin bed and a shower. The three outer buildings, named Shad, Mullet and Bonefish in honour of residents of the flats, each have two 2-bedroom apartments, an upper and a lower unit, both with private entrances. The units are spacious, with a full kitchen (including coffee-maker and microwave), a dining area, 2 queen-size beds and 1½ baths. On-site laundry facilities are free to guests.

Accessibility Notes

Our property is wheelchair friendly and persons who are physically challenged should have no difficulty getting around.

 Eco-Friendly Notes

The unique architecture of our main buildings features interior and exterior walls patterned from local limestone rock, and a landscape dotted with conch shells, palm trees and native flowering plants, paying compliment to the surrounding environment. This theme is also reflected in the native straw items, flowers and shells decorating the rooms and public areas.

 Locally or Family-Owned Business Notes

The business was started by Bradley Russell's father in 1978 with just the restaurant; there were no Bahamian-owned properties on the island at the time. They began renting out their extra rooms when requested by their patrons, and first opened their hotel with 12 rooms in 1980. The operation is totally managed by all the relatives, with Bradley, his mother, brothers, sisters, and all of their children handling guest services, maintenance, etc.

 Pet Friendly Notes
No pets are allowed.
